Grandparents Hometown pt.1 | Vernice Blog

Today is saturday, and today is the day I go Tanjung Pinang and Senggarang, which are my parents and my grandparents hometown . I'll go with my dad and my sister , the night before we packed everything we need. In the morning I woke up at 8 AM andwent into the shower right away. I ate pancakes for breakfast then we head to the ferry terminal. We went i to the ferry and it took an hour to go to Tanjung pinang. An hour later we finally arrived. There we went to our great grandma's house. At 12 PM  we went to the mall and we went to the grocery store and bought some snacks. We went to Maxx Coffee and ordered some drinks here's the picture

A while later we went to Tomo Japanese Resturant to have "lunch''. We ordered some sushi, matcha ice cream, ice cream sandwich, patbingsoo, and other side dishes.

After lunch we picked up our cousins from church. At 8.30 PM we went to the harbor kind of.. and ride a boat with my aunt, uncle, my dad, my sister, and my cousins, to Senggarang or also called as chinese island. chinese island is like a bunch of houses above the water 💦 Here's the picture of chinese island.

For me my grandmother childhood house is awesome. So basically when we walk in we see a sofa then there is like a door that has no door when we went in the door that has no door we look to the left there is a bedroom for 3 person which where my dad and cousins sleep tonight. When we look through the right  there's the living room when we move ahead there is another bedroom where my sister and I sleep tonight. When we walk ahead on the left we see kitchen and dining room on the right there is a fancy staircase that bring to the second floor, but if you walk ahead  on the left there's a bathroom infront there is a door that leads us to the backyard where we can see the ocean and also fish 🎣. At 10 PM we went outside and walked through the neighborhood there we saw a family selling prawn infront of their house, so we went there and bought 2 pounds of prawn and the neighbors are super friendly too. Around 10.30 we went back to the house and started fishing on the home backyard, which is the sea ....

Around 11 I caught my first fish , the fish is only 4 inches but it is still a fish. Then we started eating chips, gummy, crackers, and other snacks we bought from the grocery store and we talked and talked as the night goes on. Oh, Don't worry we put the fish that we caught back into the sea. At 2 AM we stop fishing and changed into PJ's and went to bed, but.. I woke up at 4 AM and read my bible, because it is too cold to sleep. Then I went outside and take some gummy bears to eat. At 4.30 AM-ish finally fall asleep.
