To Singapore Unplanned | Vernice Blog
Summer 2019
It's been I long long while since I last wrote. In the past few weeks I've gone to Singapore. Well let me tell you the trip is not planned at all and I didn't know that I'll be going until the night before. Here's the situation... soo my aunt and uncle is at my hometown, in Batam, Indonesia. they spent a couple nights here. On the night before going we sat together with my family. While we were talking about me wanting to buy a bookshelf. They said Singapore's IKEA furniture store has a lot of offers at the time and guess what, they asked my sister and I if we want to go to to Singapore so I said heck yeah! (well not exactly 'heck yeah' but sth that's way polite and has the same meaning as that). Out of nowhere we were asked to pack our clothes and necessities and all that stuff. The next thing we know we were given the ferry ticket and set to sail the next day an hour before sunset.
We arrived safely at our aunt's apartment. The day had passed by so swiftly. On the next day we went to Changi Airport, number one airport in the world. In terminal 1 there is section called JEWEL which consist of the largest indoor waterfall in the world. The waterfall itself is magnificent. We, my aunt, my sis, and I, ate a ton of good food one of them was Shake Shack's burger, wow, it was deelicious and worth the one hour wait. There's also a stall that sells milk tea named The Alley. They sell good milk tea, especially the brown sugar milk with boba. The milk tea itself is so creamy, the brown sugar was the perfect amount, and he boba is what took my breath away, its boba coated with brown sugar and perfectly cooked that it was not too soft or too hard, it was the right chewiness that you would want to find in a boba. Another thing that I cannot not recommend is the 4Finger Crispy Chicken, If you like spiciness than you would probably love the chicken set with spicy sauce because I do! I personally prefer chicken wings more than drum sticks. I loved it so much that I ate it until there was not any flesh from the chicken left. Even as I'm writing this I'm still thinkin' about it as if I can still taste the chicken in my mouth. You're probably wondering, Is it thattt good??? well yesss it's thattt good. I have tried 4Fingers at other places' before and trust me, It's not as good as here's chicken. And I'm so sorry that you have to read me write-rambling, if that even make any sense.
The rest of my trip went pretty well. I had also made my cousin baked some cookies since he was majored in culinary that I think was somehow connected to patisserie? well both of them is connected to food so I assumed that they're the same, hehehe.. Well let me tell you, he ruined the cookies! it was so damned hard that I can't even bite into it! but fortunately there's some dough left so me and my sister made the cookies smaller and somehow our cookies is way better than his and most importantly we can bite the cookies! Days eventually passed by and we were supposed to go back but then lengthen our stay, so there's that! We stayed most of the time at home chillin' reading books or sometimes went downstairs to the shopping mall and walk around and buy something and then went back up. We spent our days happily 'till the very end. Remember about me wanting to buy a bookshelf? Guess what? I DIDN'T freakin' buy the shelf as my mom told me not to because she has cleared the shelf by our wine bar station and told me to put my books there instead. Well that has been a very unexpected trip of mine. Where did you go this summer? Thank u for reading this very strange blog of mine, until next time!
